Frequently asked questions
How are columns found?
Text that lines up vertically on a page is treated as a column, whether it is left-, right- or centre-aligned. Lines across the whole width (titles, notes) go into the first column.
Will every table be perfect?
Clear tables with one line per row convert well. Cells with text on several lines become several rows, merged headings may land in a neighbouring column, and lines and colours of the table are not copied. Check the result before relying on it.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
No — a scan has no text to read. It needs text recognition (OCR) first.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser.
